Asia Index Private Limited has announced the changes to the <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/s-p-bse-sensex-index" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:31494:1" rel="noopener">S&amp;P BSE SENSEX Index (SENSEX INDEX)</a> for the upcoming review in June. In our view, Tata Steel's Q4 and FY 2020-21 results were significantly better than expected, with substantial profitability improvement on the back of the record high product spread (high steel prices and modest raw material costs). The company generated large FCF, which was used to prepay a similarly significant amount of debt. This was highly credit positive. The financial risk profile recovered, with leverage ratios being halved and coverage ratios more than doubling. Liquidity is sound.
