<li>We tabulate league table for top short by value and short as multiple of ADT, as well as weekly increases &amp; decreases in short value, short as multiple of ADT.</li>
<li>We highlight short interest changes in BHP, ANZ, Seven, South32, NAB, Telstra, Woolworths, Origin Energy, Xero.</li>

We analyzed the changes in short interest of ASX Stocks as of May 10th (reported today) which has an aggregated short interest worth USD20.0bn.

<li>Reportedly (AFR), <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/singapore-telecommunications" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:20:1" rel="noopener">Singtel (ST SP)</a> is in advanced talks to sell Optus, Australia’s second-largest telco, to Brookfield for A$16bn-A$18bn. </li>
<li>SingTel quickly <a href="https://links.sgx.com/FileOpen/SGX%20Announcement%2020240313.ashx?App=Announcement&amp;FileID=791796" target="_blank" rel="noopener">countered</a> there is no impending deal; and "Optus remains an integral and strategic part of the Singtel Group and we are committed to Australia for the long term."</li>
<li>Optus' EBITDA in 3Q24 and 9M24 fell 1.8% and 8.3% in S$ terms. Extrapolating out for FY24E suggests pricing under this (very) indicative Offer of around 7.6-8.6 turns of EBITDA.</li>

<li>The lockup on those shares will expire this month. David Teoh, TPG’s founder, has sold some stock before in Dec 21 and could look to exit his remaining shareholding.</li>

ABB's indicative Offer provides Superloop shareholders with 0.21 new ABB shares for each Superloop share held, or an indicative Offer price of A$0.95/share, a 33.2% premium to the three-month VWAP.
ABB has picked up 19.9% in Superloop, also at A$0.95/share. Superloop has yet to respond.
