Korea Exchange plans to announce the first rebalance of the "Korea Value Up Index" next week on 27 May. The actual rebalance is expected to take place on 13 June.
Korea Exchange plans to reduce the constituents to 100 (from 105 currently) and change 30% of the included stocks in this index to better reflect the Value Up program incentives.

<li>The reshuffle results align with expectations, but the decision to list 11 KOSDAQ Global stocks in April is surprising. Local authorities seem to prioritize boosting the derivatives market for liquidity.</li>
<li>Ecopro Materials' SSF listing, earlier than expected, attracts attention, potentially leading to an unusual basis pattern, coinciding with a major lockup release on May 17th.</li>
<li>We should also be wary of a pattern akin to last July's in KOSDAQ stocks. Spot prices of recent SSFs showed a pronounced short-term uptrend, especially in KOSDAQ, versus KOSPI.</li>

<li>Once the universe is established, constituent selection and weight adjustment are determined exclusively using full/float market capitalization. As a result, flow trading can be highly predictable.</li>
<li>Although they have lower AUM, the five Semiconductor constituents could still face a significant flow impact during this one-day flow event due to their much lower DTV.</li>
</ul>
