The analysis includes forecasted inclusions and exclusions to all major Asian indices that have significant amount of tracking assets, including estimates of passive buy/sell flow on the stocks. <li>We had <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/lendlease-group" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:11248:1" rel="noopener">Lendlease Group (LLC AU)</a>, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/idp-education-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:1098:1" rel="noopener">IDP Education (IEL AU)</a> and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/nib-holdings-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:7063:1" rel="noopener">nib holdings (NHF AU)</a> as close deletes and they will now have inflows due to capping.</li>

We had Lendlease Group (LLC AU), IDP Education (IEL AU) and nib holdings (NHF AU) as close deletes and they will now have inflows due to capping.


MV Australia Equal Weight Index Rebalance: Float & Capping Changes to Drive Flow

<li>With the review period complete, there are 3 stocks that are close to the deletion zone and could be removed from the index at the March rebalance.</li>
<li>Even if there are no constituent changes, capping changes will lead to one-way turnover of 4.4% and a one-way trade of A$97m.</li>
<li>There are 9 stocks with over A$5m to trade from passive trackers but the impact on the stocks is not very high.</li>
</ul>

MVIS Australia Equal Weight Index Rebalance Preview: Three Close Deletions

<li>Privately-Held Chemist Warehouse’s (CWG) “transformational merger” with pharmaceutical wholesaler and franchisor <strong><a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/sigma-healthcare-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:15966:1" rel="noopener">Sigma Healthcare (SIG AU)</a></strong> will result in CWG's shareholders holding 85.75% of the merged company. </li>
<li>CWG shareholders will receive A$700mn in cash plus new Sigma shares. Sigma will also undertake a $400mn equity raising to fund working capital needs.</li>
<li>Sigma has the backing of its largest shareholder HMC. The risk to completion pivots off ACCC approval. </li>
</ul>
