AGL in turn is 74.93%-held by the Lee family.
The suspension appears predicated on the privatisation of APH, whose core businesses span property investment, property development, hospitality-related activities, financial services, and elderly care services, via a 62.4% interest in <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/sun-hung-kai-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:10281:1" rel="noopener">Sun Hung Kai &amp; (86 HK)</a>, a 48.9% stake in <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/tian-an-china-investment" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:13665:1" rel="noopener">Tian An China Investment (28 HK)</a>, a 37.6% stake in <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/apac-resources-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:7644:1" rel="noopener">Apac Resources (1104 HK)</a>, amongst others.
A privatisation attempt, it is likely to be pitched by way of a Scheme. AGL would be required to abstain, and a blocking stake at the Scheme Meeting would be 2.501% of shares out.
APH is HK-incorporated, therefore there is no headcount test. AGL is also HK-incorporated.
It is feasible that AGL is the one subject to a privatisation. However, I'm inclined to side with the bottom-up approach to simplifying the Lee organisational structure, rather than top-down.
