TOYOBO CO., LTD. manufactures and sells natural and synthetic fibers. The Company specializes in synthetic fibers, cotton synthetic blends, wool, secondary textile products, and functional materials.  Toyobo also produces plastic films, biochemical products, and electronics and operates construction business.

<li>Q1–2 FY3/26 outperformed expectations at the bottom line, driven by lower raw material costs, robust performance in Industrial Films (including SRF and Mold releasing film for MLCC), and the return to positive OP in the Businesses requiring improvement, indicating steady progress in line with the plan.</li>
<li>Free cash flow turned positive, supported by stronger operating cash flow and capex returning to more normal levels after a period of heavy investment.</li>
<li>With the continued recovery in Businesses requiring improvement (namely Textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Airbag fabrics, Packaging film, Nonwoven materials) and solid demand for Industrial films, we anticipate that the current recovery momentum will be maintained throughout FY3/26.</li>

Q1–2 FY3/26 outperformed expectations at the bottom line, driven by lower raw material costs, robust performance in Industrial Films (including SRF and Mold releasing film for MLCC), and the return to positive OP in the Businesses requiring improvement, indicating steady progress in line with the plan.
Free cash flow turned positive, supported by stronger operating cash flow and capex returning to more normal levels after a period of heavy investment.
With the continued recovery in Businesses requiring improvement (namely Textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Airbag fabrics, Packaging film, Nonwoven materials) and solid demand for Industrial films, we anticipate that the current recovery momentum will be maintained throughout FY3/26.


Toyobo (3101 JP) - Improving Visibility on the Recovery

IINO KAIUN KAISHA, LTD. owns and operates specialized tankers such as oil, chemical, and LPG carriers.  The Company transports crude oil, petroleum gasoline, and various dry consumer and agricultural goods.  Iino Kaiun Kaisha also leases and sells real estate.

<ul><li>The somewhat unexpected outperformance in H1 FY3/26 reflects the volatile nature of the shipping industry, and the impact of macro events.</li><li>The stability provided by the Real Estate segment remains a key enabler for IINO Lines' long-term strategy.</li><li>With a conservative D/E ratio of 0.79x, the Company retains significant financial flexibility to withstand shipping cycle volatility while funding its capital- intensive fleet renewal program. </li></ul>

LIFENET INSURANCE COMPANY provides a wide range of life insurance products and services. The company mainly provides the products and services through the internet. The company also provides asset management services.

<ul><li>H1 FY3/26 results demonstrated solid execution, highlighted by visible efficiency gains.</li><li>We believe visibility toward growth acceleration has improved post- Q2; the recovery in Individual Life is gaining momentum, evidenced by accelerating AP growth and improved profitability from tech- driven efficiency initiatives.</li><li>Furthermore, the new partnership with The Kyoto Shinkin Bank clarifies the GCL segment’s growth upside by opening a strategic pathway to the vast domestic bank mortgage market. </li></ul>

IBJ Inc provides marriage matchmaking services. The Company offers marriage consulting services through the Internet. IBJ also offers and consults business events and seminars.

<ul><li>Q1–3 FY12/25 results outperformed expectations. Membership in the core matchmaking business continued to grow steadily.</li><li>The Life Design segment also delivered significant growth, driven by solid performance in the photo, insurance, and wedding businesses, as well as the positive contribution from GROWBING, which was newly consolidated.</li><li>Organic growth continued to be a major driver of the group’s overall performance. </li></ul>

Membership in the core matchmaking business continued to grow steadily.The Life Design segment also delivered significant growth, driven by solid performance in the photo, insurance, and wedding businesses, as well as the positive contribution from GROWBING, which was newly consolidated.Organic growth continued to be a major driver of the group’s overall performance. 

IBJ (6071 JP) - Diversification Taking Shape

JTEC Corporation of Osaka manufactures bio-technology systems and equipment. The Company produces life science devices, x ray mirrors, and automated cell culture systems. JTEC also develops pharmaceutical products. JTEC serves clients in Japan.

<ul><li>A soft start – Q1 FY6/26 results were relatively soft, with sales flat and OP still in negative territory.</li><li>This reflects the seasonally weak nature of Q1 and continued spending on R&amp;D.</li><li>The Optical segment remained strong, supported by resilient global demand, while the Life Science &amp; Equipment Development segment continued to progress, driven by consumables, maintenance services, and semiconductor equipment currently in the testing stage. </li></ul>
