<li>KYEC reached revenue, GM, OPM and Diluted EPS of NT$8,984mn, 35.8%, 25.6% and NT$1.47 respectively in 1Q22.</li>
<li>KYEC could reach to ~10% revenue QoQ growth in 2Q22 because of some orders delayed in Suzhou for COVID-19 controlling measure in 1Q22.</li>
<li>The mainland China smartphone is not strong in 2Q22, but the smartphone chipset testing demand could still be the largest demand in KYEC. </li>

KYEC reached revenue, GM, OPM and Diluted EPS of NT$8,984mn, 35.8%, 25.6% and NT$1.47 respectively in 1Q22.
KYEC could reach to ~10% revenue QoQ growth in 2Q22 because of some orders delayed in Suzhou for COVID-19 controlling measure in 1Q22.
The mainland China smartphone is not strong in 2Q22, but the smartphone chipset testing demand could still be the largest demand in KYEC. 


KYEC (2449.TT): It Could Reach ~10% QoQ Growth in 2Q22 Because Some Orders Were Delayed in 1Q22.

<li>The 1st quarter is relatively a lower season. Therefore, we expect that the revenue/NM is about RMB$8. 7bn/9.0% in 1Q22 respectively, which declines ~10% QoQ and grow 30% YoY. </li>
<li>To our understanding, QCOM is still the biggest client in JCET. The rest of clients have changing a bit in JCET since Huawei was being driven out.</li>
<li>Overall speaking, China is devoted in developing OSAT (Outsource Semiconductor Assembly and Packaging) business, and the gap shall be close to ASEH and Amkor. </li>
</ul>


The 1st quarter is relatively a lower season. Therefore, we expect that the revenue/NM is about RMB$8. 7bn/9.0% in 1Q22 respectively, which declines ~10% QoQ and grow 30% YoY.

<li>China has massive local efforts on OSAT business because of low entry barrier. In our views, China can exist very well in lower profit margin to compete.</li>
<li>The worldwide OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing) companies of scale are majorly centered in Asia Pacific area.</li>
</ul>


Hope we could be wrong, but the outlook of 1Q22 could be a bit bearish since we believe ASE Holding (ASEH) revenue/GM will reach ~NT$165bn/19.4% and ~NT$150bn/19.5% in 4Q21/1Q22 respectively.
