Our process begins by organizing the universe of actively traded stocks into discrete sectors, then into industry groups. We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

Technical Analysis

Overwhelmingly, and to take a line from our U.S. Compass report, recent declines have corrected the excess. Where many charts appeared stretched and even parabolic in some cases, recent downward pressure on global equities has allowed many stocks to return to solid entry points near various areas of support. In today’s report we review every global sector, highlighting actionable stocks within each.

Recent weakness presents a buying opportunity, especially in leading countries, like Germany, and leading Sectors and Groups, such as software stocks. </li><li>Japan recently broke out above a key resistance level, making the current pullback all the more attractive. Add exposure.</li><li>EM remains unchallenged this year from a performance standpoint. As I turn into bed, I can picture my mother telling me to brush before I sleep. However, in my wildest imagination, I cannot picture my toothbrush telling me how to brush correctly.
