Japfa Comfeed’s H1/21 results were much better than expected, in terms of revenue growth and profitability. The financial risk profile also improved significantly. However, the liquidity profile deteriorated due to the large increase in short-term debt, which will likely be reversed at year-end. We are concerned about the apparent absence on the balance sheet of the USD 250 mn cash earmarked to repay the USD 2022 bonds at maturity.
