We then apply our technical and quantitative tools to identify developing price trends. Once attractive trends are identified within a selected sector or group, we screen for individual stocks which we believe offer the best risk/reward profile. We provide a historical perspective that often reveals, through our long-term charts, how price patterns often repeat themselves over time.

Technical Analysis

<li>Last week we noted that the bullish reversals had begun, with the MSCI ACWI (ACWI-US), STOXX Europe 50, and SPX the first few to reverse topside their 4-month downtrends.</li>
<li>As we discuss below, bullish reversals are proliferating globally, something that continues to support our belief that global equities are bottoming.</li>

Last week we noted that the bullish reversals had begun, with the MSCI ACWI (ACWI-US), STOXX Europe 50, and SPX the first few to reverse topside their 4-month downtrends.
As we discuss below, bullish reversals are proliferating globally, something that continues to support our belief that global equities are bottoming.

<li>Many indexes (ACWI-US,ACWX-US,etc.) are near support, and we could see a bear market bounce, but until these indexes reverse their downtrends and break above resistance levels, we cannot be bullish.</li>
<li>On a positive note, we are starting to see signs that inflation is peaking, as commodity prices have pulled back substantially, and the Energy/Materials Sectors are under significant pressure.</li>
<li>If inflation and commodity prices have indeed peaked, global equities are likely in the early stages of a bottoming process.</li>

Many indexes (ACWI-US,ACWX-US,etc.) are near support, and we could see a bear market bounce, but until these indexes reverse their downtrends and break above resistance levels, we cannot be bullish.
On a positive note, we are starting to see signs that inflation is peaking, as commodity prices have pulled back substantially, and the Energy/Materials Sectors are under significant pressure.
If inflation and commodity prices have indeed peaked, global equities are likely in the early stages of a bottoming process.

Xinyi Solar Holdings is one of the largest solar glass producers in the world. This year has been a breakthrough year for solar industry in China since solar has achieved grid parity in China. In 2021, this is the first year in which all newly completed utility scale and commercial distributed PV generation projects in China are operated on a grid-parity basis. This should have a significantly positive impact on major solar players such as Xinyi Solar. The following are the key catalysts for Xinyi Solar:1) Ambitious Plans to Increase Renewables &amp; Decrease Coal Announced at COP262) Higher Insider Purchase3) Accelerating Sales &amp; Profit Margins4) A likely upcoming inclusion of Xinyi Solar (968 HK) into the Hang Seng China Enterprises IndexValuation - Xinyi Solar is trading at EV/EBITDA multiples of 16.4x in 2021 and 14.6x in 2022. The comps are trading at an average EV/EBITDA of 20.1x in 2021 and 18.3x in 2022. However, Xinyi Solar has better metrics than its peers in terms of net margins, ROE, and sales growth. Therefore, we would argue that Xinyi Solar is undervalued and that it deserves to trade at higher valuation multiples.
