Periscope Analytics focuses on event-driven trades across Asia Pacific and provides comprehensive, timely and systematic coverage of index changes to major Asia Pacific indices in a structured manner.

The analysis includes forecasted inclusions and exclusions to all major Asian indices that have significant amount of tracking assets, including estimates of passive buy/sell flow on the stocks. The service also provides commentary and impact of market consultations, ground rule changes, and other events (IPOs, spin-offs, M&A) that could lead to index changes and passive flow.

Periscope Analytics works with multi-strategy hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, stat arb trading groups and long-only investors that invest and trade in the Asia Pacific region with the data being used to trade index rebalances, avoid pre-positioning and passive flow, and to time entry into and exit from stocks.

<li>Passive Hang Seng trackers need to sell <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/meituan-dianping" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:26970:1" rel="noopener">Meituan (3690 HK)</a> at the close on 4 January following <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/tencent-holdings-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:26:1" rel="noopener">Tencent (700 HK)</a> in-specie distribution.</li>

<li>This is a done deal. At the last close price, the gross and annualised spread for an October implementation date is 4.5% and 10.1% respectively.  </li>

MyDeal.com.au Ltd (MYD AU) entered a SID with Woolworths Ltd (WOW AU) to acquire an 80.2% interest. Shareholders will receive A$1.05 per share, a 62.8% premium to the unaffected price. 
The three largest shareholders, representing 76.0% of outstanding shares, will vote in favour of the deal. The scheme meeting is set for 3Q. 
This is a done deal. At the last close price, the gross and annualised spread for an October implementation date is 4.5% and 10.1% respectively.
