<li>Its valuations remain attractive. It is trading at P/E of 3.2x, P/B of 0.4x, and EV/EBITDA of 6.8x based on 2025 consensus estimates.</li>

There are three major reasons why we like Korea District Heating (071320 KS). First, the company has been sharply improving its shareholder return program (especially for dividends).

<li>Among the 11 companies include Doosan Bobcat, Hana Financial, KCC Corp, Orion Corp, Hanmi Semiconductor, Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Systems, Kolmar Holdings, Mirae Asset Securities, and KDHC. </li>

We provide the details of the 11 most recent companies in KOSPI that have announced their Corporate Value Up plans (June and July 2025), including their shareholder returns. 
These 11 companies experienced a sharp underperformance (from one day prior to their corporate value up announcement to current) versus KOSPI in the past two months.
Among the 11 companies include Doosan Bobcat, Hana Financial, KCC Corp, Orion Corp, Hanmi Semiconductor, Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Systems, Kolmar Holdings, Mirae Asset Securities, and KDHC. 


Korea Value Up Plans Announcements by Companies in KOSPI in June and July 2025

<li>It was reported today in numerous local media that there will be an inclusion of 'shareholder value improvement' management evaluation criteria for listed government enterprises.</li>
<li>Some of these listed government enterprises rallied strongly today (KEPCO - up 10%; KOGAS - up 12.7%; Korea District Heating - Up 30%). </li>
<li>The detailed evaluation criteria for management evaluation of government enterprises will include the appropriateness of dividend levels, protection of minority shareholders, and compliance with best practices for ESG improvement.</li>
</ul>


It was reported today in numerous local media that there will be an inclusion of 'shareholder value improvement' management evaluation criteria for listed government enterprises.
Some of these listed government enterprises rallied strongly today (KEPCO - up 10%; KOGAS - up 12.7%; Korea District Heating - Up 30%). 
The detailed evaluation criteria for management evaluation of government enterprises will include the appropriateness of dividend levels, protection of minority shareholders, and compliance with best practices for ESG improvement.


Inclusion of 'Shareholder Value Improvement' Mgmt Evaluation Reforms for Listed Govt Enterprises

The Korea Exchange announced its KOSDAQ150 and KRX300 indices rebalances today. There were 17 new additions and 17 deletions for KOSDAQ150. Most of the stocks that were expected to be included in KOSDAQ 150 were officially included in the rebalance. However there were a few surprises. For example <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/nanos-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:16796:1" rel="noopener">Nanos Co Ltd (151910 KS),</a>which was one of the stocks that was expected to be included in KOSDAQ150, did not get included in this indext this time. On the other hand, the following stocks including <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/sang-a-frontec-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:20692:1" rel="noopener">Sang A Frontec (089980 KS)</a>, Novarex (194700 KS(, CIS (222080 KS), MedPacto (215980 KS), <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/koreacenter-com-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:28329:1" rel="noopener">Koreacenter.com Co Ltd (290510 KS)</a>, and Soulbrain (357780 KS) which were not on the top of the lists of getting selected into the KOSDAQ150 index by the locals, were formally selected be part of the new KOSDAQ150 inclusions.  The Korea Exchange also made changes to the KRX300 index. Although the KRX300 index is not currently as important as KOSPI200 and KOSDAQ150 indices, it is increasingly gaining in importance among the local institutional investors. The KRX300 had 33 new additions and 35 deletions.
