<li>The average A-H premium changed by -0.9ppt week-on-week, led by consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy and offset by information technology, real estate, materials.</li>
<li>We highlight weekly changes in A-H premium for CIMC, Sinotrans, Joinn Lab, Huahong Semicon, Huaneng Power, Tigermed, Asymchem Lab.</li>

We analyse the changes of A-H premium on 150 stocks over the last week. The average A-H premium was 83.5% as of Mar 14th.
The average A-H premium changed by -0.9ppt week-on-week, led by consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy and offset by information technology, real estate, materials.
We highlight weekly changes in A-H premium for CIMC, Sinotrans, Joinn Lab, Huahong Semicon, Huaneng Power, Tigermed, Asymchem Lab.

<li>The US has entered the first leg of its bear market.  Administration officials have taken a "no pain, no gain" stance, with policy priorities taking precedence over market moves.</li>
<li>Sequencing problems start as tariffs and DOGE policies are enacted first, which negatively affect inflation and economic growth.  Atlanta Fed GDPNow forecasts a recession within a year.</li>
<li>Asian markets will be pulled down as part of the US risk-off trade.  Regarding relative performance, HK/China will benefit from the underweight exposure of foreign funds and better valuations.</li>

<li>AH Premia continue to fall. Spread curve torsion reverses again with wide premia trades seeing Hs perform the best vs their As.</li>
<li>To me, warning signs are flashing on spreads. They are at their narrowest in 5yrs and they are volatile. Last week I recommended a HUGE trimming (30%) of the book.</li>
<li>Hindsight is 20:20. I should have kept them, but the book still produced 51bp of alpha for the week on top of the 35bp of H/A beta. </li>

<li>Gross SOUTHBOUND volumes dropped somewhat but still high. NET buying by SOUTHBOUND was HK$35bn which is still quite strong. Round-tripping volume down 20% week-on-week.</li>
<li>The flows here are still striking. &gt;20% of the top 100 most liquid Southbound eligible stocks saw SOUTHBOUND buy more than 10% of weekly volume. </li>
<li>It feels like there is some common understanding among SOUTHBOUND investors which I do not understand. The numbers are big/growing.</li>
</ul>
