SUMMARY

Last Week in Event SPACE ...

  • EG Group does not provide an overall bid price for the break-up of Caltex Australia (CTX AU), leaving the scrip portion open to interpretation. That plays into the hands of Alimentation Couche-Tard (ATD/A CN).
  • Maeda Road Construction Co (1883 JP) has pulled a rabbit out of its hat. This is an Expected Rabbit. It should not be that much of a surprise. It is also not a fancy rabbit. This is a scraggly-looking rabbit. It does not do what Maeda Road thinks it does.
  • A two-way tussle into National Storage Reit (NSR AU) becomes a three-way.
  • In addition to the short-term impact of greater coronavirus fear, in the very near-term, the commencement of warrant trading in BTS Group Holdings (BTS TB) will mean warrant holders which will sell what they got, engendering BTS share shorting by warrant buyers.
  • There was no panic selling on Day1 in Central Retail (CRC TB) Thailand's largest IPO - but there may be a bit of overhang.
  • A return to positive EBITDA for PCCW Ltd (8 HK)'s media ops in the 2H19 is offset by a significant increase in elimination costs.
  • Dubai is buying out minorities in DP World (DPW DU). It is being done at completely the wrong price, and there is nothing you can do.
  • Plus, other events, CCASS movements and Mood Spins.
