<p>This week I briefly look at recent bifurcations in <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/12219" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:12219:1">Japan Petroleum Exploration (1662 JP)</a>, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/52" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:52:1">Wheelock &amp; Co Ltd (20 HK)</a> and <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/19718" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:19718:1">Jardine Matheson Hldgs Ltd (JM SP)</a>, amongst others. </p><p>These relationships trade with a minimum liquidity threshold of US$1mn on a 90-day moving average, and a % market capitalisation threshold - the $ value of the holding/opco held, over the parent’s market capitalisation, expressed as a % - of at least 20%.</p><p>A detailed NAV for a number of these parent/holding relationships highlighted can be found in our holdco monitor.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.screencast.com/t/mxK3sCSR" target="_blank">Our view for a zig zag uptick sequence has not changed and counting on a secondary low in the S&amp;P and oil to provide support for a final uptick attempt later this week/early next week before the bear cycle resumes. Difficult to trade 2 day swings. We are allowing for a 2-3 day draw down followed by a final push up next week to re cycle shorts.</a></p><div>

Our view for a zig zag uptick sequence has not changed and counting on a secondary low in the S&amp;P and oil to provide support for a final uptick attempt later this week/early next week before the bear cycle resumes.
