JSG is a global small household appliances maker and owns brands like Joyoung (九阳), Shark, and Ninja. The company acquired SharkNinja in 2017 but it seemed like SharkNinja has struggled to grow its revenue. SharkNinja's core business segment, Cleaning appliances, has been on a decline but was only saved by new products under cooking appliances.
The company decided to declare a US$470m dividend to existing shareholders before the listing and it is expected to be funded by a term loan, which will then be paid down using IPO proceeds.
