<li>Novartis' return of PD-1 to BeiGene may actually have nothing to do with TIGIT project. Long-term strategic adjustment and decreasing value of tislelizumab to Novartis could be the core reasons.</li>
<li>Abandoning PD-1 is a simple decision for Novartis, but not for BeiGene, who will do its best to promote FDA approval for tislelizumab, aiming to expand internationalization and stabilize valuation.</li>
<li>We advise investors not to focus too much on whether or not tislelizumab will eventually get FDA approval,because the actual peak sales tislelizumab can contribute to BeiGene could be disappointing.</li>

<li>Since late-January/early-February we have recommended shifting to defensives, and MSCI ACWI defensive Sectors including Health Care (IXJ-US), Utilities (JXI-US), and Consumer Staples (KXI-US) are now hitting 3-4-month RS highs.</li>
<li>With the ACWI-US just now starting to turn down after testing $93, we continue to recommend a tactical overweight to the aforementioned defensive Sectors, and also to gold miners (GDX-US).</li>

<li>A bear market bounce is underway after the S&amp;P 500, Nasdaq 100 (QQQ), and Russell 2000 (IWM) found support at their respective downtrend channels, a possibility we discussed last week.</li>
<li>Still, until the S&amp;P 500, QQQ, and IWM can break above their various downtrends, we remain bearish, and believe investors should be using rallies to reduce overall exposure.</li>
<li>This 1-week rally has the NDX(QQQ) testing resistance at its falling wedge pattern; a break above $297 would likely mean this bear market bounce has another 2-4 weeks of upside.</li>
