<li>Some hope that this means the start of a house cleaning exercise to rid the group of its multiple under-performing retail assets, leaving a gleaming exemplar of rational efficiency.</li>
<li>This is unlikely, especially for the original Ito-Yokado general merchandise chain and a problem given the lack of growth potential in the group's domestic business.</li>

Selling Sogo Seibu Doesn't Mean Seven & I Will Sell Ito-Yokado

<li>Initial reports suggest that Fortress Investment, part of the Softbank group of funds, is now the frontrunner in negotiations to acquire Sogo Seibu department stores from Seven &amp; I.</li>
<li>Reports suggest Fortress is already in discussions with privately owned retailer Yodobashi Camera to take over management of the chain's better stores, beginning with Seibu Ikebukuro.</li>
<li>The loss of ¥500 billion or so in turnover won't be missed not will the ¥8.8 billion losses but activist investors won't stop there.</li>
</ul>

Cash Flow items relating to operating activities are divided into <strong>Operating Cash Flow</strong> and <strong>Investing Cash Flow</strong>, which includes Fixed Asset and Inventory Cash Flows.  Cash flows relating to financing activities are divided into <strong>Financing Cash Flow</strong> and<strong> Shareholder Cash Flow</strong>. The reformulated Balance Sheets, Income and Cash Flow Statements follow a clean-surplus relationship. All three Statements are fully articulated to include items of <strong>Other Comprehensive Income</strong> which are added to or subtracted from Shareholders' Equity. </p>
