1. SK Hynix (000660 KS) Ahead of SEC Clearance: A Tactical Liquidity Event to Take Profits?
- This is a tactical update to our latest SK Hynix (000660 KS) insight published on June 13.
- Between the two scenarios we had predicted, the stock took the “rally continuation” path and appears now overstretched, waiting for the key SEC approval for US ADR Listing.
- It is not far fetched to argue that the stock may pull back before or immediately upon the SEC clearance announcement – a classic liquidity event to take profit.
2. HSTECH 30% Capitulation and Global AI Selloff Trigger Tactical Long Entry
- The Hang Seng TECH Index (HSTECH) has been selling off for 3 weeks in a row. Our model flagged its condition as oversold/high probability of reversal.
- Sentiment is mostly bearish and the predicted $1.25–1.75B passive inflows from June 8 index rebalancing (Zhipu AI + MiniMax additions) saw the initial euphoria fading quickly as macro concerns remained.
- However, the index has now plunged >30% from its September 2025 peak. A massive correction. The HSTECH Index may be nearing the end of this correction and reverse.
3. SoftBank (9984 JP) Tactical Outlook After SpaceX Slump Delays OpenAI IPO Monetization
- Softbank Group (9984 JP) dropped 12.53% on Friday, possibly after news of Open AI evaluating a delay of its IPO after SpaceX (SPCX US) retreated sharply from its post-IPO peak value.
- We wrote our opinion about the SpaceX (SPCX US) IPO here. Frankly it’s a bit early to panic just because of a pullback, our forecast is on a multi-month window.
- However, most AI-related stocks, including those financing AI-businesses, like SoftBank Group, have valuations that are too stretched/excessive. We analyze SoftBank’s potential support targets in the event of a continued sell-off.
4. Hong Kong Single Stock Options Weekly June 22–26: Option Volumes Jump on Continued Market Weakness
- Hong Kong equities weakened sharply, with the decline from the highs approaching 20% in stark contrast to global indexes
- Single stock option activity picked up meaningfully as Put trading increased and Call share moved toward the lower end of its range.
- Implied vols were sharply higher across the board as market weakness drove a broad repricing of single stock volatility.
