1. The AI Memory Supercycle: SK Hynix’s $29B ADR, HBM4E Ramp-Up, and the DEC26 Option Strategy

By Jay Cameron, Cameron Design

  • SK Hynix has exceeded bullish expectations, with investors now having a better understanding of the memory space, and its importance in the progression of AI.
  • ETFs have made SK Hynix even more volatile and leveraged as retail and institutional investors put on leverage, and move out quickly when the market starts to take risk off.
  • The company’s cash flows, and continued demand for memory indicate some options strategies could be deployed to benefit from the ADR listing.

2. Samsung Electronics (005930 KS) Tactical Outlook UPDATE Ahead of SK Hynix IPO On Friday

By Nico Rosti, MRM Research

  • In our previous, June 29 insight about Samsung Electronics (005930 KS) we theorized the bottom was probably over, but the correction continued and hit a new low this Tuesday.
  • Memory and storage stocks are selling off sharply globally on July 7, after Samsung Electronics  earnings apparently disappointed investors, despite the record $58B operating profit.
  • This is happening just ahead of SK Hynix (000660 KS) Friday IPO. Our model sees asymmetric risk opportunities here: cheaper prices lead to a BUY signal.

3. SK Hynix Tactical Outlook: Upcoming Local Reversal Primes ADR for Rally

By Nico Rosti, MRM Research

  • According to our model SK Hynix (000660 KS) shares are quantifiably very oversold, this could catalyze the U.S. ADR rally.
  • Our model sees an immediate tactical entry point for long/short and macro mandates looking to capture a new rally, as global capital flows into the newly liquid Nasdaq vehicle.
  • SK Hynix (SKHY US) opened at 170 on Friday, a bit lower than expected but this does not change our tactical view: local oversold > local rally > ADR rally.

4. KOSPI 200 Tactical Outlook Ahead of SK Hynix US ADR Listing/Samsung Earnings

By Nico Rosti, MRM Research

  • After 2 consecutive weekly negative closes the KOSPI 200 INDEX has probably reached a bottom last week, according to our model.
  • SK Hynix (000660 KS) should list its ADRs on the Nasdaq on July 10, 2026, and the ripple effect of this event should lift the Kospi 200 Index.
  • Samsung Electronics (005930 KS) preliminary Q2 Earnings due on Monday should boost Samsung buyers and, in turn, this should also help the Kospi 200 Index rally.

5. Toyota Motor (7203 JP) Tactical Outlook After Archion Secondary Offering

By Nico Rosti, MRM Research

  • Toyota Motor (7203 JP) is selling down its Archion holdings in a joint secondary offering valued up to ¥300 billion, injecting significant immediate liquidity directly into Toyota’s balance sheet.
  • Fully shifting Hino Motors Ltd (7205 JP) into Archion isolates Toyota from the operational and reputational fallout of Hino’s emissions fraud, fundamentally reassuring institutional investors.
  • Splitting long-term commercial vehicle development expenses 50/50 with Daimler Truck protects Toyota’s primary passenger margins while accelerating hydrogen fuel-cell market scaling.

7. Trading Fanuc’s Volatility Smile: AI Robotics, Tariff Risks, and the DEC26 Option Strategy

By Jay Cameron, Cameron Design

  • Fanuc seeing several ups and downs after a record breaking May for the stock.
  • Although some risks remain such as tariff risks, and cost risks related to oil price and geopolitical risks, it may be an opportune time for volatility strategies.
  • Fanuc’s cash flows, and cash reserve policy keep the company resilient to short term effects.

8. Options Weekly: Bears Take Cover: Earnings Hedges and Crash Put-Buying Define a Volatile Week

10. Macro Monthly July 2026: Nifty Seasonality Improves While Nikkei and Oil Screen as Outliers

By John Ley, Clifton Derivatives

  • Implied vols have broadly firmed across markets, with several markets still exhibiting high values versus history.
  • Seasonality looks more supportive for Nifty, where July has historically been a more favorable month combined with a strong record of positive vol premium.
  • Nikkei and Oil screen as notable outliers when comparing current implied vol with typical July moves. Oil is also notable for the continued normalization of implied vols.
