1. SoftBank (9984 JP) Tactical Outlook After 11% One-Day Drop
- Softbank Group (9984 JP) was rallying strong until last Friday, then dropped -11% on Monday. Various factors contributed to this event.
- Heavy unwinding of previous speculative gains triggered a sharp risk-off repricing of the group’s NAV discount and leverage risk profile. Our model flagged the stock as ‘oversold’.
- Industry commentary from Anthropic, OpenAI, and tech leaders calling for caution/slowing in frontier AI development could temporarily favor a continuation of the sell-off, but we see a buy opportunity.
2. HDFC Bank (HDFCB IN) Tactical Outlook: Extended Sell-Off Creates Asymmetric LONG Entry
- HDFC Bank (HDFCB IN) bottomed at 681.90 last week, then started a small rally this week. We re-analyzed the stock outlook for the next few weeks, updating our previous insight.
- Near-Term performance is constrained by lingering post-merger integration headwinds but sell-side analysts project a ~15% net income CAGR over the coming three years and maintain a 12-month target around ₹1,000.
- Our model flagged a very stretched duration for the current sell-off: the stock has been drifting downward for 6 weeks. This presents a compelling asymmetric risk-reward LONG entry.

4. Baidu (9888 HK) Tactical Outlook After CSI HK Connect Internet Inclusion, Multi-Month Downtrend
- As reported by Brian FreitasBaidu (9888 HK) was added to the CSI Hong Kong Connect Internet Index at the close of trading on September 18, 2026.
- Baidu has been downtrending since mid-January 2026 when it peaked at 161.20. Closed this week at 87.20, a -45% drop in price, and the lowest price reached this year.
- The stock is oversold in our view, and getting close to the 73 price zone floor that has been historically a solid support since 2021. Tactical positioning could be rewarding.
5. Adani Enterprises: India’s Biggest Business Incubator
- Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) has incubated six publicly traded businesses across ports, power, transmission, renewable energy, city gas and FMCG.
- The combined market capitalisation of businesses incubated by AEL stood at USD 94.3 billion as of March 31, 2026, according to the company.
- The next value-unlocking candidates are airports, the new-energy ecosystem, data centres, roads and primary-materials. These businesses are larger and more capital-intensive, making execution and balance-sheet discipline central to the thesis.
