In the meantime, <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/shandong-xinjufeng-technology-packaging-co-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:36744:1" rel="noopener">Shandong Xinjufeng Technology (301296 CH)</a> (XJF) secured SAMR approval; and the appointment of two friendly directors.</li>

That's positive. SAMR previously okayed XJF's initial 28.22% stake from <a href="https://www.smartkarma.com/entities/jardine-matheson-holdings-ltd" target="_blank" data-smartkarma-citation="entities:19718:1" rel="noopener">Jardine Matheson (JM SP)</a>.</li>

Separately, the EGM requisitioned by XJF to appoint two XJF-friendly directors progresses.

<li>Newjf's decision to forcibly acquire Greatview at this moment should be made after careful consideration. Mengniu may not necessarily oppose this merger. Mengniu is likely to take a neutral stance. </li>
<li>Newjf’s Offer is attractive. In the absence of a more realistic action by Greatview to make a higher Offer, we advise investors not to walk away from Newjf’s Offer easily.</li>
